We are pleased to welcome you and your child as active members of our school community. As a school we strive to work to not only ensure that our school participates fully in the local community, but that we work closely with our parents so that all pupils in our school have a happy and successful time.
There is no doubt that a child's education is greatly enhanced when school and home work together. We therefore actively encourage you to become as closely involved with our school as you possibly can. Such an effective link can do much to contribute towards your child’s intellectual, emotional and social development. There are many ways in which you can become involved in the life of our school:
- By showing an active interest in all aspects of your child’s life and work at school
- By displaying a sympathetic understanding of the needs and concerns of your child
- By showing a willingness to take part in all discussions involving your child’s progress
- By displaying support for our behaviour policy
- By supporting the work of our Parent Teacher’s Association, the R.W.S.A (Raunds Windmill School Association)
- By joining us for Sharing Assemblies and Class Assemblies
- By joining us as a volunteer helper working in the classroom
- By joining our Governing Body when vacancies arise
- By attending all meeting held at our school
In return, we undertake to:
- Arrange regular discussion evenings
- Inform you fully on all areas of your child’s progress and development
- Provide you with regular Newsletters
- Monitor your child’s progress and achievements
- Actively encourage your comments and opinions
- Provide half-termly Home/School Information books in Key Stage 2 and year 2.
- Provide comprehensive end of year reports for all children.
This spirit of co-operation is encapsulated within our Home School Partnership Agreement that we ask all parents to sign.
