It is a policy of the Governors of our school that the Windmill uniform is compulsory for all pupils. Not only does this make life much easier for you at home (there are never any arguments as to what the children are going to wear at school each day!), it also means that our children look very smart and are given a great sense of belonging and identity.
Our school uniform is bright and attractive and consists of:

Should you so wish, during the warmer weather, we also provide Windmill baseball style hats. During the colder months it is quite acceptable for girls to wear grey or black trousers (leggings are not allowed). We also provide a Windmill fleece. We do not allow any child to wear jeans or trainers for day to day activities.
For PE and outdoor Games children are required to wear white T-shirts and black shorts, white ankle socks, with appropriate footwear. Trainers are allowed for outdoor games. Tracksuits are permissible for outdoor activities during colder weather. For swimming, all children are required to wear swimming hats and appropriate costumes (Bermuda shorts and bikinis are not permitted).
All main items of school uniform are available for sale from our School Office i.e. Sweatshirts, cardigans, T-shirts, swimming hats, baseball type hats, polo shirts and fleeces (see price list elsewhere within this Prospectus).
We would ask that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.
For your information, in the interests of safety, the only sort of jewellery we allow the children to wear is ear studs and nothing more. These have to be removed by the child for any form of physical activity. Should you decide that your child may have their ears pierced during term time, this will immediately disqualify your child from all forms of physical activity until such time as they may remove their studs safely. Similarly, we ask that long hair be always tied back. We also insist upon sensible hair styles for all our children.
